The new Safeguarding Youth Training went live Friday, May 16. Scouters are encouraged to take the new 90-minute training now, but they will be required to take the training when their current Youth Protection Training expires. It’s designed to replace Youth Protection Training and adds a section on S.A.F.E. Scouting. The new SYT training is good for one year. To renew, you'll need to review a 10-15 minute video and take the refresher test. If you pass with an 80 percent or above, you've recertified. If not, then you will take the entire SYT module.
