Hiking & Cooking Contest- Location Change

Where - Location has changed.  We are going to D Bar A and will have use of a cabin.  

Why - Work on hiking merit badge & advancement / cooking merit badge & advancement - Patrol Cooking Contest

When - March 8 - 10, 2019

What - This will likely be a cold weather camping outing.  Dress in layers, no cotton, gloves, hats, hiking shoes, warm sleeping bag, day pack.  

Earn cool Pedro Trail Hiking Patch Set and be recognized at our Next Court of Honor!

Hiking Merit Badge

Next Tuesday, November 12, there will be a Hiking Merit Badge workshop right before the regular meeting (starting 7:00 at FUMC).  Merit Badge Counselor, Mr. Koilpillai, will be discussing #1, #2, and #3.  If you do your pre-work (alias, print out merit badge worksheets and write out the answers to those questions) and participate in the discussion/demonstrate knowledge of the material, you will get those requirements signed off.  Please bring your blue card.  If you do not have a blue card for this merit badge, we will have one there for you.  If we do not finish, we will schedule another workshop.

Hocking Hills State Park / Climbing & Rappelling - Cancelled as of 10/14/19

WHAT:  Come Climb and Rappel in the beautiful October foliage in Hocking Hills OH.  Also, hike around the State Park area and see Cedar Falls and Old Man's Cave.  Visit Moonville Haunted Tunnel at night.  

WHERE: Logan, OH (Hocking Hills State Park)

COST: $125 per participant / Includes travel, food and all activities.  You will need lunch money for Sunday and any snacks. 

WHO: All of Troop 777 can attend.  Must complete permission slip and waiver from High Rock Adventures.  

Please bring permission slip, waiver, and payment to the front desk on Tuesday.
