Fall in at FUMC for Feast by 6:00 PM. WE NEED TO LEAVE AS CLOSE TO 6:30 AS POSSIBLE.
Return by 12 pm Sunday.
We will utilize the Cafe near the end of Park Headquarters Road in Proud Lake to cook and eat the Fall Feast Meal. We will be staying at the Pines Campground about 1 mile away. The Cafe is heated but we are not able to sleep inside. We will have the use of heated restrooms while eating our dinner but dinner will be served outside. We will have the use our Large Troop Tent if inclement weather is possible.
Weather: 20's to 40's are typical this time of year. Please bring proper winter layered clothing. Extra sleeping blanket or regular blanket is ok, we have the space.
The recharter process for Troop 777 is actively going on and I request all families to kindly consider not waiting until the last minute to submit paperwork and payment. Since our Tuesday meetings are outside the church, we are facing limitations from meeting cancellations due to weather, limited volunteers, and not having access to church office facilities, such as printer, copy machine etc. Therefore, please consider:
Here is a great way for adults to attend the 2023 Jamboree. While unit leader positions are full, there are a list of adult Jamboree Service Team (or JST) positions available.
JST are volunteers from around the country that run the adventures; there is no adventure of a lifetime for our youth without JST. Since Michigan will likely have one of the largest contingents, and 777 currently has more youth registered than any single District across the state, let's make sure our youth are well supported.
IT IS EXTENDED - THE RECRUITING PATCH SET INCENTIVE.
Now until September 30, 2022 - Recruit a Friend and Receive a Patch Set
Due to the higher than expected registrations, the Michigan contingent is trying to fill 2 additional units before October.
777 Scouts already registered for Jamboree, here is a great way to earn valuable patches to trade. For every Scout or Venturer that you recruit, the MCC Jambo Committee will issue you a full set of MCC Jamboree contingent patches (2017 example seen here). The top recruiter will receive five sets of patches. The rules are simple. You need to fully registered for Jamboree, then send a note to: jamboreechair@michiganscouting.org , with the name(s) of the Scout(s) or Venturer(s) that you recruited to the Michigan Crossroads Council contingent no later than September, 2022. Once verified that the Scout(s) or Venturer(s) has/have registered on the MCC website and made Jamboree payments through September 30, 2022. Each recruited Scout or Venturer can have only one recruiter. Duplicate entries will be reviewed to confirm the earliest submission date. In addition, you cannot claim to recruit Scouts or Venturers that are already registered with MCC.
Hint 777 Scouts - see our calendar event to see who has not signed up yet - and recruit!!
ALSO NEW - No Rank Requirement - Scouts just need to by 12 years old prior to July 19, 2023.
